Among his works, which\u00a0<em>Any Known Blood<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Some Great Thing, figure The Book of Negroes,<\/em>\u00a0the critically-acclaimed and influential .<br>\u00a0The conference of Lawrence Hill this evening will cover a variety of topics drawn from her personal experiences growing up in the suburbs of Toronto and the effect of this experience on her creative work; her experiences of writing and research on &#034;Black history&#034; in this country; and the themes of the Symposium Promised Land this year.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>This evening also, a special ceremony award ceremony will take place so that the representatives of the Distinguished Women in International Service will be awarded to the winners of a local contest to write on Black history for young
