Black Soul (2000 ; 09’47) is a poetic film about memory. It is a immersion exhilarating at the heart of black culture through a whirlwind trip through the defining moments of Black history. Then an old lady initiates his grandson to his past, a series of images in a perpetual transformation painted directly under the camera animation is unfolding before our eyes.
