Djemaa Maazouzi is a phd student at the University of Montreal (Canada) and scientific coordinator of the Centre for research on intermediality.

Between story (personal) and history inventory (to teach), Cartridge gauloises (2006) contrasts with other films of Medhi Charef. This film is the place to forget the impossible indigenous past and an affirmation of identity in post-colonial calling for a recognition in France. It is also the echo of a specific reading of colonial history, in France and in Algeria, who built a memory idealized links between the different communities of French Algeria.
