Unlike previous years, the event in 2010 focused on themes of binding specifically to the history of African-Canadians in the south of Ontario to current issues in social justice and women's and gender in the history of African-Canadians.

The manufacture of the promised land

First symposium general, 2007
Friday, December 7 to Sunday 9 December 2007

The Promised Land Project is cordially invited to all individuals and groups interested in the 1st symposium annual general. This event took place in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, in the heart of the canadian community of the promised Land, the end of the week from 7 to 9 December 2007. This symposium highlighted the progress and discoveries of the researchers of the promised Land, as well as guest speakers, interactive workshops and panels discussing the general state of Black history and multiculturalism in Canada.
