An internationally-renowned researcher in cultural studies and in
popular culture, the work of Larry Grossberg focuses primarily on popular music and youth policy
in the United States. It is also widely known for his research in the philosophy of communication and culture. Although her research is concentrated significantly throughout the 1980s and early 1990s on the politics of postmodernism, his more recent work explores the possibilities and limitations of training in alternative and emerging modernity.
